MID SURREY FINALS DAY 2025
Members enjoyed an extremely chilly, though at least fine, and even partially
sunny day, on 20th and 21st September. Many of this year's matches were
extremely close run with several 'nail biting' finishes.
The Edward Crocker Trophy Open Singles final (for both men and women) had
everyone enthralled. John Donovan who had a very comfortable lead in the first
half of the game found the gap being gradually eroded by Lyn Nelhams in the
second half - and at 20-20 on the last end - Lyn narrowly secured victory, making
her the first woman to win this event.
